Reservation widget

The reservation widget connects a restaurant website directly to MenuOrb’s live availability and reservation workflow. Guests choose a date, party size, available time, and contact details. A successful reservation appears in MenuOrb and can trigger the owner’s configured in-app, email, and push notifications.

Choose how to publish

Inline form

Shows the complete booking experience inside the page. Use this on a dedicated Reservations page or a wide section of the restaurant website.

Button and popup

Shows a compact Reserve a table button. The form opens in a modal without taking the guest away from the current page.

Hosted booking link

Opens a MenuOrb-hosted reservation page. Use it in social profiles, messages, QR codes, or builders that do not allow scripts.

Before installation

Prepare the restaurant

Confirm the restaurant time zone, operating hours, active tables, and table capacities. Availability is calculated from this information.
Configure booking rules

Open Reservations > Settings and set duration, slot interval, minimum notice, advance window, maximum party size, required contact fields, automatic confirmation, and table assignment.
Enable public reservations

Turn on Accept public reservations and activate the Website widget.
Configure notifications

Select in-app, email, and push notifications. Add the destination email when email notifications are enabled.
Allow the restaurant website

Add each exact origin under Allowed websites, for example https://restaurant.example and https://www.restaurant.example.
Choose appearance and display mode

Select colors, rounded corners, compact layout, dimensions, and either Inline reservation form or Reservation button and popup.
Save and copy

Click Save booking settings, then copy the generated embed code or hosted booking link.

How availability is calculated

A time appears only when all of these conditions are satisfied:

the restaurant is open at that date and time;
the request respects minimum notice and the advance-booking window;
the party size is within the configured maximum;
at least one active table has enough capacity;
the table is not occupied by another non-cancelled reservation;
the full configured reservation duration fits before closing.

After a guest submits

The guest receives a public reference and can add the reservation to Google Calendar. MenuOrb records the reservation against the correct restaurant and sends the notifications enabled by the owner.
